I give you a tour of the whole auto train, the food, the different Amtrak rooms, and more. Taking a shower in my Amtrak bedroom suite was an experience! I had a great time spending a long journey with my father and catching up. This was a great trip with my dad on the auto train from Virginia to Florida, an experience I will always treasure.

The total cost for this trip for two separate auto train bedroom suites with their own bathrooms and showers, transporting our car, and priority vehicle offloading ($60 and WELL worth it) was right about $1240 total. If we had shared a one bedroom suite, the cost would’ve been right about $900 total. Coach starts at $180. Roomettes are $600+. All prices include car transport. Meals are only included with bedrooms, but you can buy food on board as well.
