Joao Cancelo has admitted that he lived 'days of uncertainty' before joining Portugal national team for the Euro 2024. The Manchester City full-back, who was on loan at Barcelona last season, still doesn't know what his destination will be after his international duty.
Cancelo also spoke about his hopes of playing in Euro 2024, after missing the previous edition due to Covid-19.
''I feel that Euro 2020 was unfair to me because I wasn't able to take part and I want to give an answer now for myself, for my family, for the people who like me'' said Cancelo.
Portugal start their Euro 2024 campaign against the Czech Republic on Tuesday, before taking on Turkey and then Georgia in Group F.
