The British and Irish governments are to make a joint statement on Friday on the way forward in the Northern Ireland peace process.
Meanwhile, members of Northern Ireland's Orange lodge marched through the provincial capital Belfast on Thursday evening.
It's one of a number of marches by Orangemen in the July marching season.
It comes as the province's leaders, catholics and protestants, battle to save the peace accord signed last year.
On Wednesday all sides failed to agree on how to disarm the Irish Republican Army by the midnight deadline imposed by the British Prime Minister.
U-S president Bill Clinton said it would be much more than a tragedy if all sides can not agree on a way forward.
Talks involving the province's parties continued late into Thursday night, including important bilateral discussions.
Full negotiations are expected to resume on Friday.
