Learn how to become a clubhouse app moderator. When you start your meeting room, you are the only moderator. As moderator, you have some controls over the attendees in your meeting. The first thing I want to show you is the raise hands button. This allows your attendees to raise their hands.

When they raise their hands, you can allow them on the stage with you. This means that they can now speak. Caution: When they come on stage, they will be automatically un-muted.

In an effort to keep things organized, many room moderators keep this switched off and only allow hand raising for short bursts. It is not recommended to get too many people on stage - because they can all talk at the same time and it gets more difficult to track who is speaking.

By allowing only a few up at a time, the room is more manageable.

You also have the ability to invite someone to the stage if they have not raised their hand.

Getting folks on stage helps you because when they go on stage, all of their followers get notified that they are now speaking - this encourages their followers to join your room.

You also have the ability to make anyone in the room a co-moderator - and you can have several moderators. Be careful here because any moderator can remove another moderator - which means you could be handing the keys over to someone else who can now remove you from your own room.

To return someone to the audience and remove them from the stage, just click on them and choose “move to audience”. This will remove them from the stage and they will no longer be able to speak.
