The two Class 47's are seen heading south through Wellingborough Station on the Midland Mainline on the slow line heading back to Ealing Broadway Station.
The outward tour, under headcode 1Z45, from Ealing Broadway via; St Albans, Luton, Bedford, Kettering and Leicester to York, hauled by LMS Duchess Class Pacific, 46233 'Duchess of Sutherland'. The return tour, under headcode 1Z47, worked via the same route as the outward tour back to Ealing Broadway, hauled by WCRC Class 47's.
