In this video I build the first of three double 75 gallon aquarium racks. I'll give you all the supplies and lengths of wood that you'll need. This is a great design that will really save you space in your home or fish room. Thanks to @TheFishNerd for the fantastic design! I paint it and get it level in the garage fish room (aka The Biotopes). To make this rack you'll need 8 2"x4"x8' pieces of lumber. Here are the lengths of 2x4 wood cuts that you'll need:
10 - 15 3/4"
4 - 18 3/4"
4 - 53"
6 - 48 4/4"
This design will give you 9.25" of space between the top of your bottom tank and the bottom of the top horizontal wood piece.
I used 2 1/2" #9 wood screws. You can use exterior or interior screws. I sunk each screw a little bit and then filled with wood filler to give it a finished look. My paint was exterior semi-gloss paint and primer in one. I choose black for the color.
Finally, because it's a garage, the floor slopes toward the door. Check out what I do to level the rack!
Thanks for the idea @LRBaquatics
