After trying several times to get my unit to run a software update from the ActiveCaptain App and unable to find many solutions online, I decided to take the steps outlined below in order to get the update to transfer to my unit.
1. Turn off cellular data
2. disconnect from home or current wifi
It seems like perhaps my phone would try to override the wifi connectivity to the unit with my home wifi and my mobile network.
Phone running the ActiveCaptain App is a Google Pixel 5.
I hope this helps someone having similar issues.
