Two Pools Farm, Great Britain
1000 Dairy Cows, 550 milking
New construction of the calf barn in 2019
2 automatic calf feeders Alma Pro
1 x 12“ touchscreen
8 drinking stations with hygiene system
At the Two Pools Farm calves go directly after colostrum into the group calf barn, for this purpose 8 group pens are installed. The pens are seperated by concrete walls for hygiene reasons. Playballs are installed in all the pens - the calves enjoy using them, so they are constantly on the move. The front of the pen is made of concrete steel to keep the area dry, the back part of the pen is intended as resting area with straw.
The client is very satisfied with the new barn, in general he is feeding more milk, but the calves are much healthier and they have less problems with Crypto. Another strong argument for the automatic calf feeding system is the enormous saving of labour time.
