Songkran is a traditional Thai New Year festival that is celebrated annually from April 13th to 15th. It is also known as the "Water Festival" as it involves a lot of water-related activities such as water fights, pouring water on Buddha statues for good luck, and bathing in the holy water to cleanse oneself of sins and bad luck.
