Sen. Amy Klobuchar broke up a noisy exchange over health care at the sixth Democratic debate, saying she disagrees with her fellow senator, Bernie Sanders: "I just don't think anyone has a monopoly on bold ideas. I think you can be progressive and practical at the same time." She said she favors a public option that builds on the Affordable Care Act. Klobuchar compared health care reform to crossing troubled waters. "You build a bridge, you don't blow one up." Sanders responded that his fight is with the "greed and corruption" of the pharmaceutical and insurance industries. Klobuchar and Sanders are two of the seven Democrats vying for their party's 2020 presidential nomination who met on the stage for the sixth Democratic debate on Dec. 19, hosted by the PBS NewsHour and POLITICO.
