Crying Tiger 🐯
This is one of my favorite ways to have steak! 🥩
The story of the crying Tiger came to be because during ancient times, the marbled cuts of beef resembled tiger stripes. And when cooked over a flame 🔥 the fat dripped like Tiger tears. Leave it to imagination, and behold the name crying Tiger!
What you’ll need:
Steak of choice (I used New York)
1/2 tbsp seasoning sauce
1/4 Tbsp fish sauce
1 Tsp minced garlic
1/2 tbsp sweetener
Marinate your meat for 15-30 minutes.
On high heat, sear your steak on each side for 1.5 minutes dependent on the thickness of the steak. Mine was 1 inch thick.
Once done, rest for 10-15 minute before slicing.
Serve with a spicy Nam Jim jaeow and a hot bowl of jasmine or sticky rice 🤤
