Despite it's relatively low powered engine the Royal Enfield Himalayan coped very well with the Hardknott pass.
The Himalayan's engine is called the LS410. "LS" stands for Long Stroke meaning the piston travels further through one revolution of the crankshaft. This is also known as "Undersquare"
The benefit of a longer stroke is more low down torque and power and the engine will rev lower. Also the engine will make less ultimate BHP.
But for the application the Himalayan was designed for initially (bad roads and mountain passes) the bike excels.
Could just do with a bit more power for the UK roads though I feel.
All music used was from Bensounds
