The 50th GST council meet was held today in Vidhan Sabha in New Delhi at 11 am. It was chaired by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The finance minister released a short film called GST Council-A journey in 50 steps. It presented all the 1500 decisions taken by the GST council in 49 meetings. She also introduced a special mystamp. On the agenda was Taxation on online gaming, horse racing and casinos, Taxation of Multi utility vehicles, Tax on food and beverages in cinema halls, GST on import of cancer medicine, TCS liability of suppliers on ONDC and more.
