In the YouTube world of free energy and perpetual motion machines, I found many playing with magnets in a similar manner to what I have molded into a fully operable mechanism: Actuated Stepper Motor. 6 magnets located on the rotor and 12 iron plates on the stator. 6 of the iron plates move with linear input and 6 remain stationary. I have a fully operational prototype, but can think of no practical uses for this fun little mechanism. Designed by Sci-Why.
