Today we added some exciting new edible plants to our food forest: rowan berry hybrids ‘Burka’ & ‘Granatnaja’. They are crosses of rowan berry (Sorbus aucuparia) with chokeberry (Aronia melanocarpa) and Siberian hawthorn (Crataegus sanguineus) bred in the 20th century by Russian plant-breeder Ivan Michurin.
