Pros
- Folding drone that comes with carrying case for portability.
- Drone does not require registration in most countries, as it weighs less than 250 grams.
- GPS/GLONASS provides automatic return to home and landing on command, loss of signal, and low battery.
- Optical flow sensor provides automatic hover indoors when GPS signal is weak.
- 2 axis stabilized gimbal provides steady video.
- 7.4V 1600mah battery is advertised to provide up to 16 minutes flight time.
- In-flight FPV video can be viewed on your phone using LW Pro or Eachine Pro flight apps.
Cons
- App requires use of 802.11ac WiFi. Not everyone has such WiFi on their phone. Before purchasing, strongly recommend that your phone is indeed capable of using 802.11ac WiFi.
- Although instructions for the apps were provided, there were no instructions provided for the drone itself included in its package.
- No SD card recording capability. Video and photos can only be recorded to your phone via the drone's app.
- Video is not 4K, but 720p at 17 frames per second. The advertised 4K refers to the resolution of the still photos that are recorded to your phone at 4096 x 3072 pixel resolution.
- Drone has brushed motors, and will eventually require replacement.
- Flight time was significantly shorter than advertised 16 minutes (I got about 9 1/2minutes).
- FPV range was relatively short at 60 meters.
- Instruction manuals for two different apps were included in the package (RC GPS and LW Pro apps). But, only the LW Pro app would provide FPV video from the drone. However this app had significant issues, such as color problems on video recording, inoperative advanced flight control features, and no telemetry information. An alternate app (Eachine Pro) was tried and found to provide improved video. However, telemetry information was still not available.
- The electrical ribbon cable to the camera was extra long, and forced the gimbal view downward. I had to manually tuck the cable inward to enable the gimbal to move up and down.
