PM Narendra Modi in his address at the 76th session of United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) recalled his childhood days. Speaking about the strength of democracy in India, PM Modi said that it's displayed by the fact that a little boy who once used to help his father at a tea stall at a railway station is addressing the UNGA for the 4th time". On COVID crisis, PM said that the world has been facing the worst pandemic in 100 years. He paid tribute to all those who lost their lives due to COVID19 and expressed condolences to their families. He further said, "I represent a country which is known as the ‘mother of democracy’. Democracy has been India’s great tradition and "India's democracy is recognised by its diversity", the Prime Minister added.
