Slamboree’s latest release Inspire breathes with that first hint of summer - endless days and nights spent with people that you love and enjoying the escapism that comes with it. Kathika’s vocals flit between silk and steel sharing a burgeoning love story that sits atop of an instant classic that ignites the need to let loose and dance.
The video for Inspire directed by Jack Meredith & Ato Yankey was produced by Papaya Films which imagines a world where clean air is a commodity in short supply. Corrupted by decades of toxic pollution, people have to wear masks constantly and get limited amount of fresh air each day. Air becomes a precious luxury that must be treasured and not wasted. Throughout the video we focus in on different people within a tower block and explore how they choose to spend their 'air'. Its a thought provoking and colourfully shot piece that explores themes of love, hate, fear, happiness and hedonism.
