This is a quick unboxing of the Western Digital WD Elements Desktop 6Tb drive. After the video was recorded, I hooked it to my Raspberry Pi running OSMC and it was picked up without any issues. I could even use the power adaptor from my old WD Element Desktop drive which I bought a few years ago. It will spin down the drive after a period of inactivity, as well as when the Pi itself is powered off.
When I had it hooked up to a PC to transfer media to it, the USB 3 interface made a big difference in transfer speeds! I'd expect with a Raspberry Pi 4 it'd make a really good (and cheap) NAS.
