Florida foreclosure defense attorney Steve Kramer examines what you should know about mortgage backed securities and how it affects your foreclosure.
Foreclosures can be a very complicated thing. To add to that confusion, banks don't keep your loans they are possibly sold off again and again. While you signed a loan with Bank A, you may find down the road you've been with Bank C, D, E, and so on. Your loan is like a signed check that can be passed around. When a bank gets a bunch of these loans, they tie them up together and sell them off as a mortgage backed security. When you begin to get foreclosed on, we need to find out who truly owns the property and work from there. Mistakes happen, even electronic ones from big banks. You may be getting sued for foreclosure from someone who doesn't even hold the note to your house anymore. Watch the video now to learn more.
