This is a commonly found and inexpensive turntable. The arm "feels" cheap and chattery, but doesn't act that way on the record.
If you notice a hum, it's because it's not the best choice of cartridges for this 'table (unshielded motors and Grados don't get along). Despite this, it sounds surprisingly good. Better dynamics and bass than my long-gone modified Technics 1200.
