One of the most promising artist in Southeast Asia, Thai-Italian singer Valentina Ploy guested on Easy Rock Plugged In!
DJ Shai and Valentina had a fun conversation in this episode of Easy Rock Plugged In. The two talked about how Valentina entered the pageant world and joined Miss Thailand 2018 where she placed as a runner-up. “I kinda like went to the competition unaware what it was,” she said. “The idea of being a beauty queen is to make a difference. It’s another platform that I could use to share my message of being positive and staying true,” Ploy added. She shared that if she is to choose between music and pageant, she would rather be a musician than a beauty queen.
Shai and Valentina briefly talked about what her song ‘Drunk Sleeping in Taxis.’ “It was written for someone in particular,” the Thai-Italian singer said. Ploy shared that the meaning of the song is how she gets scared and shows the worst part of herself to the person she loves most and is afraid of not being loved the same way.
Before going to her performance, the two played a game of Song Association. She sang a few lines of JP Saxe and Julia Michaels’ ‘If the World Was Ending,’ ‘Kiss Me’ by Sixpence None The Richer, Linkin Park’s ‘In The End’ and a few more!
