The National Democratic Alliance has won the 2020 Bihar Assembly Elections. The Janata Dal United-led NDA won 125 seats in a 243-member Assembly, giving a clear majority to the incumbent alliance. While the BJP emerged as the big brother in the NDA with 74 seats, the JDU's tally was restricted to 43. Taking the two over the magic number of 122 were junior partners Hindustani Awami Morcha and the Vikassheel Insaan Party with four seats each. The NDA was given a tough competition in the 2020 Bihar assembly election by the Mahagathbandhan which managed to win 110 seats. The Bihar election results became a neck-and-neck fight between the BJP and the RJD, which emerged as the single-largest party with 75 seats.
