LV Roger Bannister No 2 setting the pace for Chris Chataway No 5. Brasher No 4 is in third place. SV pan, Bannister followed by Chataway. SV crowd. LV Chris Brasher making the pace, he runs holding his left thigh. SCU Chataway followed by Bannister who is now dropping back. Jungworth No 11 runs into picture and overtakes the labouring Bannister. GV stadium. Chataway races ahead here. SV Chataway racing away on his own. SV crowd. SV Chataway making his final dash spurred on by people on the track side and the crowd he races up the straight and breaks the tape. SCU Chataway.
