My previous video showed how you can use a chain and clove hitch. But sometimes the sapling is too thin....then what?! I used a vice grip and chain. The whole video shows me using one and then two to make sure there is no slippage.
Edit-- Also....DO NOTt use a rope only use a chain. Ropes stretch and then act like a rubber band. You don't want a sapling shooting at you. Thanks to YouTuber "a."
