U.S. gun control advocates often look to Canada as an example of a system that works.

But over the years, gun violence has been on the rise in this country too, despite what already seems like tougher measures to combat it.

As Catherine Urquhart reports, more federal legislation may be on the way in the midst of growing calls to do more.
