My name is Sarah Hillman. A Kenyan born and raised in Mombasa-Kenya but currently living in the UK. Mine is a story coupled with fortune and misfortunes of life. I am a 4th born in a family of 7 Unfortunately one of my sister's passed on.Both of our parents passed away. My father however shared among us properties he owned including land in Athi river.
In my previous relationship while living in Kenya, I went through marriage brutality with my 4 children by my ever drunken & buttering husband. Unable to put up with such inconveniences, I fled with my 4 children behind a pickup truck . I later left for London where my sister invited me to stay with her. It is in London where I met my new husband that I have lived with for (Years now) and blessed with another child.
While in the Uk, I was privileged to be elected the 1st black woman chancellor in summer set county -Southwest of England. In 2007 or thereabout I was also awarded the Remember Africa award for my charity work in kenya. While in London my cooking skills in food fairs and festivals where I made a variety of African delicacies won me a variety of awards; from which I started charity work back in Kenya from the proceeds I made. I support widows with HIV/AIDS in kibera as well as supporting the less privileged children through education in kitui.(orphans ,widows and disabbled
My efforts and privileges however opened a door to my enemies in a deliberate attempt to keep me off my land my father left me.over time, I have been stereotyped as a woman not worthy of possessing my father's property I have legally acquired.
My endevore to change and fight this analogy that has despised many women in Kenya has not been a walk in the park. For about 10 years now however my undying spirit to seek justice has shown promise in a way. And what lingers in my mind is the number of kenyans under similar frustrating efforts to seek justice through our systems that we endevore as well. I can only imagine how many men and women of our mother land undergo such unpresident end of fate or otherwise unfated circumstances.
Further, I wonder the presidencies we echo out there to willingfull investment opportunities that would go a long way to create not just job opportunities to investors but rather beyond itemized jobs to the needfully.
I believe I am a voice figure of the voiceless that have continuel y endured detachment(s) and endless frustration(s) of relative kind. As such I believe my situationship as it is is a testimonial record of the truggles many men and women of of an endeavored ambition shouldn't be subjected to.
It is my entitled desire to let people know that from this battles I have endured I have been able to set up a lodge at athi river namely (yeyani resort) which I birthed ias a hidden gem hidden with and without the outcasts of Nairobi boardering Mavoko in machakos county...this gem is a subsidiary of my efforts to extend my endevore to help and assist those that are beyond reachable doubt as an effort to increase my reach out program to assist the needy in our deprived general society.
I reach out to all the able hands out there that can or may create unmatchable impact in realizing the Kenyan dream of poverty digredation to a minimal level by way of direct support through finance or otherwise any means.
