To celebrate Halloween, our resident storyteller Heather is here to perform a traditional Russian folktale entitled Vassilisa and Baba Yaga that is adapted from a story by James Mayhew from his beautifully illustrated book Koshka's Tales: Stories from Russia. This tale is a Cinderella story of sorts and features Baba Yaga the witch who lives in the deep, dark forest in a house on chicken legs. It has some slightly scary (but not too scary) elements so is suitable for children over the age of six. So, join in with Heather in this interactive story of a brave and clever girl long ago and far away in the country of Russia.
