Jeff Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this curved equalizer for the 1 and 3/4 inch double-eye springs. Now, this is a 7 and 3/4 inch long curved equalizer which will connect your double-eye springs on trailers with multiple axles. Basically, this will join your double-eye leaf springs on tandem or triple-axle trailers. Basically, what happens is your springs will attach to the ends of this equalizer right here using shackle straps which we do sell separately on our website.
And then, the equalizer itself is suspended from a center hanger. Again, we sell separately on the website. This equalizer will help transfer load and sudden impacts from one axle to another by permitting movement between the axles. This will help distribute the weight evenly and results in a nice smooth ride for your trailer. Again, this is designed to fit a 1 3/4 inch wide double-eye leaf spring with the 9/16 diameter spring eyes.
The center bolt hole up here, and then the left and right bolt hole diameters right here are all 9/16 of an inch diameter. As you can see, the bushings are included in this equalizer. And the last thing, just wanna give you the overall dimensions. The length we mentioned which will be 7 and 3/4 and that's measured from the center of this hole to the center of that hole. So, if we get our ruler and go center to center, you can see there's your 7 and 3/4 inch measurement.
The width we mentioned if it's 1 and 3/4 inch wide springs. So, there's your 1 and 3/4 inch width. And then the height which will be measured on this equalizer. If we take from the center of this hole to the center of this hole, draw a line straight across. If we measure up from that line to the center of this hole is gonna roughly give you about 2 and 7/8 inches for the overall height.
