Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) involves several soft tissue mobilization techniques. The IASTM tools are designed to pinpoint and treat myofascial restrictions for the amelioration or total elimination of myofascial pain syndrome (MPS). By increasing the elasticity and mobility of the fascia we enhance the body's self-healing process. IASTM has been successful in the complex treatment of myofascial pain.
In this video, we present the use of the FASCIQ® Large Handlebar IASTM tool with 2 handles and curved middle this tool is designed for the treatment of large areas. It is used to increase the elasticity of the fascial tissue in the back, fascia and aponeurosis on the Latissimus dorsi muscle. The direction of action is decided after the preliminary tests performed by the specialist, following which the fascial blockages will be detected, which are to be treated.
The ergonomic shape of the instrument allows a specific manipulation that cannot be performed manually, and the 2 handles allow the specialist to have maximum control over the maneuvers.
IASTM tools stimulate:
• A healthy, flexible and well-maintained fascial network
• Improved tissue perfusion.
• Improved range of motion.
• Soft tissue mobilization.
• Destination of adhesions in the connective tissue.
• Treatment of Trigger Points
We highly recommend using the FASCIQ® wax in conjunction with the use of the IASTM tools. Its special formula ensures that the skin is properly prepared, allowing the tools to move easily over the skin and to create a more favorable experience to the patient. The FASCIQ® formulated wax contains almond oil and beeswax, which makes it a nourishing product, moisturizing the skin during the treatment process.
