Telecaster - Template
One day, we decided to build a guitar. We had 2 weeks, and had never done it before. We had no luthier tools, templates, hardware, or experience.
First step, order hardware, then use that time to build a template. We wanted some good solid stock but could only find this thin mdf on short notice.
I printed the template on 6 pieces of paper, taped them together, and then transferred it to the mdf. After some detailed Dremel work and sanding, we had a master template.
Expecting that it might get damaged, we used it to make additional templates for the body shape and holes.
