Taiyaki Japanese Ice Cream is not just one of the best ice cream places in the Chinatown neighborhood in NYC but I think all of the city.
First, a variety of unique flavors, including your go to fan favorites, and of course for those who like a little variety you can get them in swirl style.
What really sets this place apart is the cone. First it looks cool, they make it on site, not some box brand cone. The cone is almost like a cake and ours had a red bean paste at the bottom of it.
So you think you just finished a really tasty ice cream and then once you get to the cone, it takes it to a whole other level. And when you hit the hidden red bean paste, its outta control good.
100% a Must TRY for ice cream lovers. An easy location to find right off Canal Street on Baxter, about a half block up. You cant miss it, its going to be the place where people are huddled around.
The exact location is 119 Baxter Street
