South Indian favourite Pulihora and Daddojanam/Curd Rice.
Pulihora Ingredients:
1 cup rice
2 cups water to cook
Lemon size Tamarind - 3/4 cup of water to soak
1 tbsp turmeric
1 tbsp salt or according to taste
5 tbsp oil
2 tbsp chana dal
2 tbsp urad dal
1 tbsp mustard
1 tbsp cumin seeds / jeera
2 tbsp peanuts
3 green chilies
3 red chilies
few curry leaves
small piece of jaggery
1/2 asafoetida
Daddojanam/Curd Rice Ingredients:
1/2 cup rice
1 1/2 cup water to cook
1 cup curd
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp oil
1 tbsp chana dal
1tbsp urad dal
1 tsp mustard
1 tsp cumin seeds / jeera
few curry leaves
pinch of asafoetida
1/2 tbsp pepper powder
