In this video we are checking the sound levels of Vic Firth drum and cymbal mutes as well as comparing the drum kit with and without the mutes. We have the kit mic'd up with two overhead condenser mics, a snare mic, a bass drum mic and a room mic further away from the kit to try to capture a well rounded sound sample. The decibel meter in view is giving us an estimate of sound levels for comparison purposes.
