A Story of Bheema meeting Hanuman

This thoroughly entertaining story from Mahabharata is unique for many reasons. For one, the story of Ramayana is narrated within Mahabharata. During their 13 year long exile, the Pandava brothers go on a long pilgrimage and reach the Himalayas. One day a divine flower comes from nowhere and gets Draupadi excited about it. Bheema goes in search of that unforeseen flower. Along the way, Bheema encounters Hanuman. Taking Hanuman to be any other common monkey, Bheema tries to subdue Hanuman who shows who's the boss. In the end, Hanuman reveals himself to Bheema, advises him to be humble and blesses his brother.

Shatavadhani Dr. R Ganesh has kindly composed the beautiful shlokas for this Katha-chitram. We are deeply indebted to Dr. Ganesh. The shlokas have been sung by Smt. Samudyata Mattur. Kumari Bhargavi Ananth has depicted the same in Bharata Natyam. We sincerely thank them all for their help and support.
