The Popular Front of India and eight other entities connected to PFI have been banned, according to the Indian government. Following many raids in various Indian states, the Indian government outlawed these organisations for five years. State Anti-Terror Squads and the National Investigation Agency together detained around 160 PFI leaders and members. The government's announcement is effective right away. Following operations in Shaheen Bagh, Rohini district, and Nizamuddin, thirty persons were taken into custody in Delhi. According to the Delhi Police, the suspects had both a citywide and national protest that would have been extremely violent planned. The ministry claims that some of the PFI's original founders are top SIMI (Students Islamic Movement of India) officials.
