Hard Corps Uprising (2011, PS3) Gameplay Footage

One of my favorite run and gun shoot em up (shmup) series has always been Contra. Hard Corps Uprising was a prequel and an attempted reboot for the Contra series. This game never got the recognition it deserved. This is an outstanding shmup and is truly the full package when it comes to gameplay, soundtrack, and artwork. The design was by the artist behind the Guilty Gear Series. I’ve always wished there was a physical copy of this game but after so much time passing I doubt it will ever get a physical release. It’s been several years since I played through this but I wanted to make sure I had a complete playthrough of this game here on my channel. Near the end of the game you can tell I’ve gotten a bit rusty but I still manage to muck my way through it. I remember how difficult this game was before I had all the power-ups and upgrades. In many ways that was I was having the most fun with the game, but now I really enjoy just plowing through it with the power-ups I earned. I cannot recommend this game enough to the shmup run and gun fans out there!
