RAF Lakenheath: Where Eagles Soar.

Royal Air Force Lakenheath, Suffolk, England is home to the United States Air Force 48th Fighter Wing.

The Wing consists of the 492, 493 & 494th Fighter Squadrons which operates the F-15C/D Eagle and F-15E Strike Eagle.

RAF Lakenheath is one of the busiest military airfields in Europe, with massed launches of aircraft several times per day.

This video takes you straight to the flightline during a days operations. Get up close and personnel to the action and hear the whine and thunder of the F-15 Eagles as they prepare to take to the skies.
