BLAST AT A CHEMICAL FACTORY IN MAHARASHTRA

Eight people were killed in an explosion at a chemical factory of Tarapur at Palghar district in Maharashtra. Five people have been injured in the incident and their condition is said to be critical. Several firefighters were rushed to the spot. NDRF team was also present at the spot. Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray has announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the kin of deceased. Cause of explosion still unknown. A case in this regard has been registered and cops are continuing to investigate the case. The sound of the explosion was heard from quite a distance.
