Point-of-view driving video of the 2nd-gen WRX (VB) filmed during the Auto Focus Pre-Christmas Test Drive Festival 2022. It was a car event that gave people the opportunity to test drive different brand new vehicles from November 17 to 20 in SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City, Philippines. This video was filmed on November 19. Thank you to Sunshine Television (STV; organizer of Auto Focus), Subaru Philippines, Subaru Greenhills (Motor Image Manila, Inc.), & Mr. Martin Uy for making this test drive possible.

Impressions/observations during the test drive:
The exterior design of this car gathered some comments when it came out since it is vastly different from the previous generation. It is a cool design in a way, but some might prefer the previous VA-generation in terms of the exterior design. The orange paint is a cool color, though. The hood scoop gives it more of sporty vibes, too which is a nice thing since this is a sporty performance car. Going inside, the materials that consist the interior are all really nice for this price point. The central screen is big and clear too. The seats feel sporty with their material and their lumbar support. Its seating position is also low which adds more to the sporty vibe of the car and the driving experience.
The turbocharged engine of this car is no doubt very powerful, but there was not an opportunity to explore that in this test drive as I wasn't allowed to take it outside the driving course (for content of this car being driven outside the course, refer to John Agustin Scuderia's YT channel - he was allowed to drive outside the course the next day after I went to the event). The steering of this car is unexpectedly light for a sporty car like this - its weight is like the Honda Civic RS (FE). The Mazda3 (BP) and the Subaru XV in comparison, has more weight to their steering feel though. Both the accelerator and brake pedals of this vehicle respond well to driver inputs, and without any delay. The ride comfort of this car is excellent and the outside noise insulation is quiet for a sporty car. Something different with this car is its turn signal stalk, since if one pushes it up (right signal) or down (left signal), the stalk does not stay up or down - it returns to its neutral position. It is just something that one needs to get used to when driving this car.
