Italy is the birthplace of pizza, with Neapolitan pizza being the most commonly associated style when discussing Italian pizza. However, Italy offers a variety of pizza styles, including the well-known Roman pizza. Among these, a lesser-known yet distinct style hails from Turin. Similar to Chicago-style pizza, it is baked in a pan, but it is not as thick and deep. This style is referred to as "al Tegamino" or "al Padellino." During my visit to Turin, I dined at Da Gino, a pizzeria established in 1935, renowned for their Pizza al Padellino and chickpea-based Farinata. The pizza was quite delightful.
