SpaceX will dock with the International Space Station for the second time with their Crew Dragon capsule carrying 4 astronauts. The docking procedures and hatch opening will be preceded by a number of phasing and approach burns on the Crew Dragon capsule to complete the docking autonomously.

SpaceX launched the first operational mission of its Crew Dragon vehicle as part of NASA's Commercial Crew Transportation Capability Program (CCtCap), carrying three NASA astronauts and one JAXA astronaut to the International Space Station. This mission is the second crewed flight to launch from the United States since the end of the Space Shuttle program in 2011. In May 2020, DM-2 demonstrated the Falcon 9 and Crew Dragon's ability to safely transport crew to the space station and back to Earth and was the last major milestone for certification of Crew Dragon. This NASA mission is expected to last around six months and the astronauts will return around April 2021.
