Getting a fast, 3D of a defect (like a bend, nick, dent or scratch) on the edge of a turbine blade can be tough. And time consuming!
But you don't have to use gels and replica pastes, wait for them to dry and then hope you slice them in the right place. You can take a 3D measurement that's just as precise in about a second.
The 4D InSpec is so portable, many parts can be measured without dismantling time, either.
By measuring precisely, you can know for sure whether the part is scrap or if the defect is cosmetic. That saves you parts, and money--money that will soon pay for the purchase of the instrument.
