Queensland has recorded six new community cases of Covid-19 and Annastacia Palaszczuk says new measures will be put in place to stop the outbreaks further seeding and to avoid a lockdown.
Four of the cases are linked to an aviation worker; another case is a pilot who has flown into Townsville and is fully vaccinated.
Brisbane, Gold Coast, Logan, Moreton Bay, Townsville and Palm Island will be subject to the new restrictions reducing visitor numbers in homes to 30, caps on weddings at funerals of 100 people and reduced capacity at venues.
Capacity at the NRL grand final will also be reduced - to 75 per cent.
