Did you know Verizon offers $10,000 grants for small businesses and entrepreneurs through the Verizon Small Business Digital Ready Program? Houston Life helped surprise local small business owner Diedre Mathis with a $10,000 grant from Verizon and she had no idea it was coming! Watch the surprise in the video above. In 2018, Deidre opened Wanderstay Houston Hostel. She recently expanded by opening a second location, Wanderstay Boutique Hotel. One of the resources Deidre has used to gain skills as a business owner is Verizon’s Small Business Digital Ready Program. The program provides free courses, mentorship, networking, and grants to support small business owners. Until December 20, 2023, small businesses can apply for the current round of grant funding. The way it works is you must complete two of the modules in any combination whether it is courses, coaching, or community events and this unlocks your opportunity to be eligible for consideration to receive a $10,000 grant.
