Recipe: Spiced Bourbon Cocktail
INGREDIENTS
● Bourbon
● 250g sugar
● 250ml water
● 2 oranges
● Lemon juice
● Cinnamon sticks
● Ginger beer
● Large ice blocks
To Serve
● 1x double shot of Bourbon
● Orange syrup
● Orange zest
● Toasted cinnamon stick
METHOD
Syrup
1. Add the sugar, water, juice of half a lemon and zest of half an orange to a saucepan
and cook until 110 degrees Celsius.
2. Allow the syrup to cool before using it in a beverage.
Drink
1. Add a double shot of bourbon and a single shot of the syrup to the glass. Mix
together.
2. Add ice and 150-200ml of ginger beer and stir.
3. Garnish with orange zest and a toasted cinnamon stick.
