This pattern works on, at least, the original Pac-Man arcade machine, the MAME emulator, and I'm told, the XBox 360 version.

Cherry pattern additional instructions. In case it's not clear what is happening at these key times.
0:25 - press UP until you see the 800, then press LEFT
0:42 - be pressing RIGHT, before you see the 400
1:09 - press RIGHT as soon as you see the 800
1:21 - press LEFT as soon as you see the 800
