Another vintage Mego commercial remastered for the Mego Museum Newsletter, subscribe and get a new one delivered to your mailbox every Friday along with all the goings on of the "Megoverse"

The commercial features at least one of the rarer opaque Time Traveler figures released in the last years of Mego's Micronauts.
Star Defender is derived from the Microman "SURVEYOR 2" vehicle, but Mego replaced the smaller fighter craft the Microman toy carried with similar new fighters of Mego's own design - the Solarion and the Taurion. Those became 'original IP' Mego repurposed elsewhere.
Of course, Star Defender was also repackaged completely unchanged by Mego as the Buck Rogers "Star Searcher", which spawns some serious confusion because another vehicle from the Microman Surveyor vehicle series was released as a Micronaut toy called "Star Searcher".
Star Defender was redecorated and partially re-tooled for larger action figures by PAC TOYS, and intended for release as a LORDS OF LIGHT toy. Unfortunately, the toy was never delivered to toy stores even though it may actually have reached limited production.
