By using the Nest touch bar menu
The Google Nest thermostat can switch to Eco mode automatically when it senses that you are not at home and this is usually indicated on the device or on the Nest or Google Home app. To turn off this setting, you can follow these easy steps;
1. On your Nest device, tap the touch bar to access the menu.
2. Select the ‘mode’ icon that is represented by 4 wavy lines.
3. Turn off Eco Mode or select another mode like Heating and Cooling.
By using the Google Nest app
1. Open the Nest app home screen and choose your Nest thermostat.
2. Select the Nest settings located at the top right corner.
3. Select the ‘Home/Away Assist’ option.
4. You can now disable the automatic Eco Mode switching option at the top of the screen.
