On July 31, 2023, a Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable identified as Chetan Kumar Choudhary shot dead four people, including an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI), on board the Jaipur-Mumbai Central Express train near Palghar railway station in Maharashtra, India. The constable was apprehended by the police at Mira Road with the help of Government Railway Police and RPF officials. The motive behind the incident is yet to be determined.
